Some day I will be able to attend, and feel happy attending, this kind of event. Seminars and conferences abound, and I have been to so few and understand it is shameful [apparently for someone in my profession]. One day, C and I will be happy as clams for a week away from one another. But it ain't right now. I can wish upon a star that I attended this one, can't I?

I just did a cursory look, and cannot confirm if I had indeed posted this item before....but I am not so lazy that I have not read these more than once. people who are just now freaking on food security and food resources and distribution have been in THE dark. just some history.

librarian at every table

There are many librarians who will put service at the top of their list of *librarianish* traits. I am one of those librarians. From reference to social advocate; we are here to help. Now, this was not always so, and that is all the better. Looking at the transition that libraries and librarians have made during their development is fascinating stuff. Even for no-librarians.

This is a librarian voice I love.

I have visited Cucina Rebecca a lot, but I have to freak out now because I am planning on duplicating the entries in this post as soon as possible - I doubt I will get closer to the South Island than I am right now. Oh my gods of spiny creatures and buttah!
