Meeting new people, getting happy about helping

Posted: April 18th, 2009 @ 6:02pm

I think I could be so happy that I could fall off my chair. Actually, my back would probably love that as my current chair is crappy and distinctly lumbar unfriendly. Anyway, I received a form email from atrocityarts.com the other day from a librarian who has a great project; they need a hand making it the way they envision. How cool is that?
I am very much looking forward to launching atrocityarts into the business mode again. It has been hovering in "no activity" status for too long. Well, for as long as other projects have prevented me from really turning it into a "bizness." I have learned enough now about independent contract work that I feel happier about the plan than I did before. Now it is a case of swapping out records, accounts and some other minor items. Oh, and getting a tax preparer! I refuse to do the tax thing by myself anymore, the number of deductions that I might miss are intolerably high from what I have seen of my take on the tax code.
So, here I am counting the weeks until we swap countries again. Some things are still bleaker than ever, and some things are as warm and wonderful as ever. Ain't that life?
